The work, in short
One pair of hands from quote to finish. The man who prices the job is the man who turns up to do it.
- ✓Full kitchen and utility fits
- ✓Supply-and-fit or fit-only
- ✓Units, worktops, sinks and appliances
- ✓Set out level, square and finished tidy
A kitchen fit is the sum of a lot of careful small jobs, and it's the setting out that decides whether the doors line up and the worktops sit flush. I strip out the old kitchen, sort the floor and walls, then fit the carcasses dead level and square so everything that goes on top lines up. Worktops, sink, taps, splashback and appliances all go in, and the doors and drawers get adjusted so the gaps are even. I work alongside the trades that need certificates, gas for the hob and the electrics, and bring in a plumber or electrician where the job calls for it. Utility rooms are the same job at a smaller scale, units, worktop, sink and somewhere sensible for the washer and dryer. If you've bought a kitchen from Howdens, Wickes or B&Q, I'll fit it; or I can supply and fit the lot.

Kitchens & Utilities: common questions
How much does it cost to fit a kitchen in Nottingham?+
Fitting labour depends on the number of units, the worktops, and how much stripping out and making good is needed before the new kitchen goes in. A like-for-like swap is quicker than reconfiguring the whole layout. I price it after seeing the room and the plan, so you get a real figure rather than a rough range.
Do you fit kitchens I've bought from Howdens, Wickes or B&Q?+
Yes, fit-only is a big part of what I do. You buy the kitchen wherever suits, I fit it properly, level and square, with the worktops, sink and appliances. It's a good way to keep the cost down while still getting a tradesman to fit it.
Can you supply the kitchen as well as fit it?+
Yes, if you'd rather not deal with ordering it. I can supply and fit the whole thing, or supply just the bits you don't want to source yourself. Whatever's easiest for you.
Do you do the plumbing and electrics too?+
I handle the fitting, worktops, sink and the carpentry side. For gas, full rewiring and notifiable electrical work I bring in a registered plumber or electrician, or work alongside yours, so the certificated parts are signed off correctly.
How long does a kitchen fit take?+
A typical kitchen is usually one to two weeks depending on size, how much stripping out is involved, tiling, and whether the layout's changing. I'll give you a realistic timescale and a running order when I quote so you know what to expect.
Can you fit a utility room?+
Yes. A utility is a smaller version of a kitchen fit, units, a worktop, a sink and space plumbed in for the washing machine and dryer. It's a tidy way to get the laundry out of the kitchen.
Will you take the old kitchen out and dispose of it?+
Yes. Stripping out the old kitchen is part of the job, and I'll clear the old units and worktops away so you're not left with a pile of it in the garden. I keep the work area swept and tidy throughout.
Do you fit the appliances and sink as well?+
Yes. Built-in ovens, hobs, extractors, integrated fridges and dishwashers all get fitted, and the sink and taps fitted and connected (final gas and electrical connections by the relevant registered trade).
Can you just fit new doors or worktops to my existing kitchen?+
Yes. If the carcasses are sound, replacing just the doors, handles and worktops gives you a near-new kitchen for a lot less than a full refit. It's worth a look before you rip the whole thing out.
What areas do you cover for kitchen fitting?+
I fit kitchens across Nottingham and the surrounding towns, Arnold, Carlton, Gedling, Bulwell, Mapperley, Sherwood and nearby. Ask if you're a little further out.
